How to Prepare for Your Goddess Session

How to Prepare for Your Goddess Photoshoot

No need to feel nervous we’ve got it all planned out for you! Here are some helpful ways to prepare for your photoshoot — from what to wear to how to feel confident on camera.

You’ve booked your boudoir session! Yay! The first step is always the toughest — now what? It’s completely normal to feel excited and a little nervous. Preparing ahead of time ensures you’ll feel confident, relaxed, and ready to shine in front of the camera. Here’s your complete guide to making the most of your goddess experience.

  1. Choose the Right Outfits for YOU
Bring a few different looks — something sexy, something elegant, and something playful. Depending on your style, bring a variety. Or browse through our closet of gowns and outfits. The outfits you bring should be your absolute favorites and items you love and feel great in. Whether that’s lace lingerie, an oversized sweater, or even a bridal veil. Bring what you love to feel your best!

  2. Take Care of Your Skin and Body
Water, water, and did I say water? Stay hydrated, BEFORE and DURING the shoot. Being hydrated not only helps you feel great, but increases the elasticity of your skin, increases the flow of blood and oxygen, and balances your oil levels. Meaning, less pronounced wrinkles, a healthy glow, and fewer breakouts. Who doesn’t want that?                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Don’t forget to exfoliate gently, and avoid trying new products right before the session. You don’t want any fresh breakouts from diverting from your beauty routine. I find that to help loosen up a relaxing bath or massage helps the day before.

  1. Trust Your Photographer
We’ll guide you through poses that flatter your body and bring out your personality. We’ll chat about things you want to highlight or special things you want to incorporate into your shoot. You don’t need modeling experience — just a willingness to be yourself.

  2. Practice Self-Love and Affirmations
Confidence starts within. Stand in the mirror and speak affirmations like, “I am beautiful. I am powerful. I am worthy.” You’ll walk into your shoot glowing. Most of the time it’s not our physical bodies that we need to pamper or encourage, but the mentality of how we perceive ourselves.

  3. Don’t Forget the Details
Nails, lashes, brows — small touches make a big difference in your final images. Choose styles that make you feel like your best self. Pick a make-up style that you love, reflects you, and can go with your various outfits.

Preparing for your photo session is all about creating a positive, empowering experience. This is your moment to celebrate your journey, your body, and your beauty.
