INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Ruth and Kate Portraits. By purchasing our services, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read them carefully.

BOOKING FEE

A booking fee is required to secure your session date and time. This fee will be applied towards reserving our team for your specific session date. Because we hold this spot especially for you and turn away other work, it is non-refundable.

PAYMENT OF PRODUCTS

Digital files and physical products are not included in your session fee. These items are available for purchase separately, according to your choices during your scheduled ordering appointment. We accept payments via credit card, Affirm, check, or cash.

RESCHEDULING

We will try to work with you if we need to reschedule due to sickness or weather.  Our rescheduling policy is for one occurrence.  After that a new booking fee is required.

CANCELLATION

Cancellations made 14 days before the session will result in forfeiture of the booking fee.  If Ruth and Kate Portraits cancels the session, a full refund of the booking fee will be provided.

SESSION POLICIES

PUNCTUALITY

Please arrive on time or a few minutes early for your session. Sessions will not be extended due to late arrivals.  The session is cancelled if you arrive more than 15 minutes after your scheduled session.

EDITING

Ruth and Kate Portraits does not release unedited files or RAW formats of their work for any reason.

DELIVERY TIME

Digital images will be delivered after the invoice is paid in full and you have received the tangible products. Due to the nature of digital files they are non-refundable after delivery.

DELIVERY METHOD

Digital images will be delivered via online gallery sent to the client’s email address provided.

PHYSICAL PRODUCTS

Physical products such as smaller prints, artwork and albums have a turnaround time varying from one week to 16 depending on the scale of your piece.

IMAGE USE

CLIENT USAGE

Clients may use the images for personal use, including social media, prints, and sharing with family and friends. Commercial use is available with written consent from Ruth and Kate Portraits.

PHOTOGRAPHER USAGE

Ruth and Kate Portraits reserves the right to use images for promotional purposes, including website, social media, and marketing materials. Clients who do not wish their images to be used must notify Ruth and Kate Portraits before the ordering appointment and it will be honored.

COPYRIGHT

All images are copyrighted by Ruth and Kate Portraits. Clients receive a personal use license and do not own the copyright to the images.

LIABILITY

Ruth and Kate Portraits is not responsible for any injuries, property damage, or loss incurred during the session. In the unlikely event that images are lost, damaged, or cannot be delivered due to technical failure, Ruth and Kate Portraits liability is limited to a refund of the session fee.

REFUND POLICY

Due to the custom nature of photography, all sales are final. No refunds will be provided except in the case of cancellation by Ruth and Kate Portraits or failure to deliver images as agreed. Please be sure that any changes to specific images are noted on your invoice.
