Yes, you will need an appointment for your Child’s Session. We are open by appointment so please contact us.

Due to the style of our artwork, we highly recommend planning to purchase products at your session. We are known for creating timeless fine art for your home and consider it a part of your furniture. We are known for our canvas wall art but we also have albums so that you may have many images from your session.

However much you spend on your portraits will depend on what you fall in love with and at what scale you would like them printed.

We recommend budgeting for an art piece starting at $1000. Desk prints at $500

We specialize in fine art canvas wall portraits, albums, and image boxes.  Digital images are available with the purchase of wall art or other products.

We know things happen! Cancellations within 2 weeks will result in forfeiture of the booking fee. If we are able to fill your scheduled appointment, we are happy to refund or reschedule your session. If Ruth and Kate Portraits cancel the session, a full refund of the booking fee will be provided.

Every now and then, we host giveaway sessions as a special way to welcome new families to the studio community.

These sessions aren’t a contest—they’re an open invitation with a generous gift included: a beautiful archival 10” fine art print, on us!

While we’d love to include everyone who applies, that just wouldn’t be practical. We do our best to select as many applicants as possible, making it a joyful experience for all involved.

We do require a refundable deposit fee to hold your date and time. Just like you, our time is valuable, and we have employees who are waiting and preparing for your visit.

Giveaway sessions also serve as a gentle reminder to celebrate the present and capture memories before it’s too late. It’s a chance to pause and appreciate the special bond you share with your family, ensuring you have a timeless and tangible keepsakes to treasure forever.
