Picking out what to wear for photoshoot can be daunting. Here are our tips to help you feel confident, ease the decision, and colors we recommend.
1. Wear something you feel beautiful and comfortable in.
There might be times where you'll be on the floor, sitting in chair or standing during your photo session. The more comfortable you are in your attire, the easier it will be when moving around. Lessening the stress before and during the shoot.
2. Wear your style.
It's easy to compare and try to mirror what you see in media, but you know yourself better than anyone else. You want to look like yourself, not someone else. You'll feel more confident too and that will reflect in the images.
3. Colors matter.
I know I said to wear your style, but there's a time and a place for bright colors and big patterns (if that's your style). You can still wear them, but maybe not for this photoshoot. Unless you booked our Goddess session, we recommend sticking with specific colors. Such as:
- Neutrals are always safe to wear. White, cream, tan, blush, gray, and brown.
- Shades of blue and gray are good to go.
- Solid colors photograph best, but subtle patterns are can work.
- Some darker shades, like olive green, navy, emerald, maroon, and plum are good.
- Things to avoid, anything bright and distracting. Logos and crazy patterns can be left out too, be want you to be the subject, not the company you might wear.
It's a lot to remember, but we made a cheat sheet for you just in case (see below). Remember to have fun and be yourself!
